Job summary

Ontario Improv is seeking energetic Food and Drink Runners to join our team in Ontario, CA. You will deliver beverages and food, ensure timely service, and support bartenders and servers to create memorable guest experiences.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year experience in restaurants or clubs, and relevant certifications (ServSafe, TIPS/LEAD). Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in restaurants or clubs.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality and guest service.
• Collaborate with bartenders, servers, and staff to keep service stations ready.
• Verify age for alcohol service.
• Expo food, drinks, and items per ticket timing.
• Assist guests and transportation needs if alcohol is involved.
• Maintain showroom and assist with breakdowns as needed.
• Suggest improvements to enhance service quality.

The Ontario Improv is looking for energetic and outgoing Food and Drink Runners to join the team. Before you apply, take a look at the job duties below:

Job Duties:

• Have a passion for true hospitality!
• Must love taking care of all guests! We strive to create a memorable experience for all patrons, so top-notch customer service is a must.
• Say yes, thank you, my pleasure, or allow me 1000 times per shift!
• Partner with bartenders, servers, and anyone else to ensure service stations are set-up, maintained, and broken down correctly.
• Make sure anyone who is ordering alcohol is old enough to legally partake.
• Expo food, drinks, and other items as indicated by the ticket (usually all at the same time)!
• Listen to guest needs and quickly obtain what is needed.
• Be attentive to whether a guest needs to find transportation home due to alcohol intake and inform appropriate members of management.
• Maintain the showroom and clear as needed.
• Give us suggestions on how to enhance service whenever a breakdown is identified, we want to hear from you frequently!

Minimum Qualifications:

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork!
• Friendly, outgoing, and excellent communication skills!
• Ability to work flexible hours, especially nights, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma, or equivalent work experience.
• 1 or more years of experience in restaurants or clubs.
• ServSafe Food Handler and TIPS or LEAD Certificate ensuring compliance with any county or state requirements.
• Consistently demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Can stand and or walk for an 8-10-hour shift.
