Job summary

Denver Improv in Denver, CO is seeking energetic Food and Drink Runners to join our team. In this tipped role, you will assist guests, collaborate with bartenders and servers, and help ensure a memorable experience.

Candidates should have 1+ year in restaurants or clubs, a high school diploma, ServSafe and TIPS/LEAD certifications, and a professional appearance. Flexible nights, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in restaurants or clubs.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification.
• TIPS or LEAD certification.
• Ability to stand/walk 8–10 hours.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality and guest service.
• Assist guests with orders and ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with bartenders and servers to maintain stations.
• Check IDs to verify legal drinking age.
• Expo and relay food and drinks as indicated.
• Maintain showroom and keep areas clean as needed.

Denver Improv is looking for energetic and outgoing Food and Drink Runners to join the team. Before you apply, take a look at the job duties below:

Job Duties:

• Have a passion for true hospitality!
• Must love taking care of all guests! We strive to create a memorable experience for all patrons, so top-notch customer service is a must.
• Say yes, thank you, my pleasure, or allow me 1000 times per shift!
• Partner with bartenders, servers, and anyone else to ensure service stations are set-up, maintained, and broken down correctly.
• Make sure anyone who is ordering alcohol is old enough to legally partake.
• Expo food, drinks, and other items as indicated by the ticket (usually all at the same time)!
• Listen to guest needs and quickly obtain what is needed.
• Be attentive to whether a guest needs to find transportation home due to alcohol intake and inform appropriate members of management.
• Maintain the showroom and clear as needed.
• Give us suggestions on how to enhance service whenever a breakdown is identified, we want to hear from you frequently!

Minimum Qualifications:

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork!
• Friendly, outgoing, and excellent communication skills!
• Ability to work flexible hours, especially nights, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma, or equivalent work experience.
• 1 or more years of experience in restaurants or clubs.
• ServSafe Food Handler and TIPS or LEAD Certificate ensuring compliance with any county or state requirements.
• Consistently demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Can stand and or walk for an 8-10-hour shift.
• Bilingual is a plus

This is a tipped position.
