Job summary

The Ontario Improv is seeking energetic Food and Drink Runners to join our team. You will support bartenders and servers, help ensure guests have a memorable experience, and keep service stations stocked and organized.

Ideal candidates are friendly, communicative, able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and comfortable standing for long shifts. A High School diploma or equivalent and ServSafe/TIPS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of experience in restaurants or clubs.
• ServSafe Food Handler and TIPS or LEAD Certificate.

• Can stand and walk for 8–10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide true hospitality to guests.
• Deliver top-notch customer service and ensure memorable experiences.
• Coordinate with bartenders and servers to keep stations ready.
• Verify legal drinking age and monitor guest safety.
• Assist in expoing food and drinks per ticket.
• Listen to guest needs and respond quickly.
• Maintain showroom/areas and assist management.
• Suggest improvements to service when issues arise.

The Ontario Improv is looking for energetic and outgoing Food and Drink Runners to join the team. Before you apply, take a look at the job duties below:

Job Duties:

• Have a passion for true hospitality!
• Must love taking care of all guests! We strive to create a memorable experience for all patrons, so top-notch customer service is a must.
• Say yes, thank you, my pleasure, or allow me 1000 times per shift!
• Partner with bartenders, servers, and anyone else to ensure service stations are set-up, maintained, and broken down correctly.
• Make sure anyone who is ordering alcohol is old enough to legally partake.
• Expo food, drinks, and other items as indicated by the ticket (usually all at the same time)!
• Listen to guest needs and quickly obtain what is needed.
• Be attentive to whether a guest needs to find transportation home due to alcohol intake and inform appropriate members of management.
• Maintain the showroom and clear as needed.
• Give us suggestions on how to enhance service whenever a breakdown is identified, we want to hear from you frequently!

Minimum Qualifications:
