Job description

Job Description: Front of House Manager with Wine Knowledge

You'll lead daily opening and closing duties. Opening activities include managing the floor and ensuring the restaurant is prepared to welcome guests. Closing activities include managing the floor until the last guests leave and then closing duties. You will be responsible for maintaining our standards of practice, cleanliness, and overall care of the restaurant. You will report directly to the General Manager and follow guidance and lead in adherence to company standards.

Service:
  1. Create Floor Charts and assign sections
  2. Manage team member productivity
  3. Assign deep cleaning tasks
  4. Balance workflow
  5. Balance number of seats per team member
  6. Make sure that the entire restaurant is detailed, stocked, and ready for service at all times.
  7. Make cuts and assign breaks as needed
  8. Uphold the standards and practices of Juliet Italian Kitchen at all times.
  9. Support and lead servers, server assistants, and bar staff
  10. Delegate priorities to team members as needed
  11. Make sure food is always up to our standards, garnished and served properly.
  12. Make sure all drinks and wines are served correctly.
  13. Complete and review all checklists for all positions, including your own.
  14. Help ensure that all BEOs are accounted for and executed correctly.
Financial:
  1. Perform Close of Day and make sure deposit is accurate.
  2. Handle all Cash and make sure everything balances.
  3. Make sure that everyone is clocked in correctly and that they clock out.
  4. Assign counts and 86s to items in Toast
  5. Make Change Orders
  6. Take Deposits and Change Orders to the bank when needed.
  7. Make purchases such as glassware, silverware, flatware, etc.
  8. Keep an inventory of paper goods and products.
  9. Maintain relationships with Vendors
Administrative:
  1. Restaurant key-holder
  2. Hire and On-Board team members into R365/Toast.
  3. Schedule within the needs of the restaurant for the following schedules: Servers, Bartenders, Hosts, and Bussers.
  4. Keep track of time off requests and team member availabilities.
  5. Write up or issue verbal warnings for team members as needed.
  6. Terminate team members when necessary.
  7. Maintain Staffing Pars for all FOH team members.
  8. Interview potential new hires
  9. Work with Trainers on maintaining training materials
  10. Perform reviews with team members after 60 days of employment.
  11. Perform reviews with team members annually.
  12. Sign for Deliveries when appropriate
  13. Attend weekly manager meetings.
  14. Maintain Organization of paper products, checklists, and training files.
  15. Put away paper orders and keep the office clear of boxes.
  16. Place orders for ABCO, Texas Coffee Traders, Ben E. Keith, Austin Paper Company, and Prudential Overall Supply.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  2. Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
  3. Must be able to open and close including weekends and any holidays the restaurant is open.
