Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant General Manager to join our team.

The primary responsibility of the Restaurant General Manager is to ensure an excellent guest experience. Successful candidates should possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. You should lead by example in interactions with your team and support our guests effectively.

Your duties will include recruiting, hiring, training restaurant staff, overseeing food quality, developing and executing marketing strategies, creating menus, greeting and serving guests, and supporting service operations. Below is a detailed list of your expected responsibilities.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and oversee the entire restaurant operation
  • Deliver exceptional guest services and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Plan and update menus regularly
  • Develop and implement restaurant marketing strategies
  • Manage restaurant’s technology systems
  • Respond efficiently to customer questions and complaints
  • Organize and supervise staff shifts
  • Lead and develop restaurant staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and terminating employees when necessary
  • Manage food costs, forecast requirements, and maintain inventory
  • Oversee restaurant supplies and control costs to minimize waste
  • Create a positive working environment
  • Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity, sales, and food quality

Job Requirements:

  • Ideally, 5+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar role
  • Ideally, 5+ years of experience in customer service management
  • Extensive food and wine knowledge
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management software
  • Experience in event planning
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills
  • Good financial management skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Team player with good time-management skills
  • Culinary school diploma or BS degree in Business Administration
