Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Leave of Absence Coordinator in Indianapolis for a hybrid role. You will analyze FMLA and other leaves, determine eligibility, and manage documentation to ensure compliant claim handling.

The position emphasizes clear communication with claimants and clients and maintaining strong relationships. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, familiarity with state/federal leave rules, and preferably FMLA administration experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State certification or licensing in statutory leaves is beneficial.
• FMLA administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes FMLA and other unpaid state, military, and/or company-specific leave claims; tracks and codes documentation.
• Analyzes FMLA and other unpaid claims to determine eligibility and certification.
• Reviews claim information to identify action plan, determine benefits due, and make timely decisions.
• Communicates decisions with claimants and clients by phone, written correspondence and claims system.
• Maintains professional client relationships and provides excellent customer service.
