Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Leave of Absence Coordinator in West Hills, CA to analyze leave requests and determine paid leave benefits according to client plans and regulations, making timely calculations and payments to ensure ongoing claim management aligns with service standards.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and clerical or customer service experience, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Education & Licensing: High school diploma or GED required.
• Skills: Strong oral and written communication, computer literate – including Microsoft Office, organizational skills; PC literate in Windows environment. Typing requirements.
• Experience: Clerical or customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes FMLA claims; tracks and codes documentation per internal workflow.
• Analyzes FMLA and other paid leave claims to determine eligibility, certification, payments and adjustments per client plans and regulations.
• Identifies action plan, determines benefits due, and makes timely case decisions per service levels.
• Communicates decisions and ongoing expectations with claimants and clients.
• Maintains professional client relationships.
