Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
• 2+ years in a medical records or similar setting.
• Experience with FMLA and disability forms preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Strong prioritization and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Proficient with Word & Excel.
• Able to type 50 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Processes FMLA/Short Term Disability paperwork per guidelines.
• Communicates with patients and coordinators in a positive, patient-centered manner.
• Processes medical record requests with HIPAA/HITECH compliance.
• Completes FMLA/Disability forms accurately in the system.
• Ensures data entry and timely post-payment processing.
• Maintains professional relationships with clients.
• Provides onboarding and training to new employees as required.
• Produces periodic reports and analytics.
• Supports forms, release of information, and audit teams as needed.
