Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking a Fluids Systems Engineer to join the Fluids and Propulsion IPT on the MK1 Lunar vehicles program. You will apply systems engineering, fluids and propulsion expertise to design, analyze, verify, and integrate subsystems across the vehicle development cycle.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical subject area.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in fluids, propulsion, or aerospace systems.
  • Experience with fluid/gas components (valves, regulators, manifolds, pumps, instrumentation).
  • Experience with systems engineering principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communications skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems within the Fluids and Propulsion IPT.
  • Own subsystem level documentation and analyses, incorporating verification data as it becomes available.
  • Ensure timely updates of subsystem architecture diagrams and schematics.
  • Apply systems engineering fundamentals across the development cycle (concept, requirements, design, analysis, validation, integration, safety, verification, test).
  • Integrate fluids and propulsion subsystems with overall vehicle design, software, and operations.
  • Support development and execution of component and subsystem tests.
  • Tackle tasks like leading trade studies, component design/integration, first-order analysis, and test support.
