Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Fluids Systems Engineer II to join the Lunar Permanence team in the Greater Seattle Area. You will apply fluids, propulsion, and systems engineering expertise to develop and integrate subsystems across the vehicle architecture, tests, and verifications.

The role requires 3+ years of experience in fluids or aerospace systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in fluids, propulsion, or aerospace systems.
  • Experience with fluid/gas components (solenoid valves, directional valves, manifolds, regulators, pumps, pressure vessels, instrumentation).
  • Experience with systems engineering principles.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems within the Fluids and Propulsion IPT.
  • Own subsystem-level documentation and analyses, incorporating verification data as it becomes available.
  • Ensure timely updates and communication of subsystem architecture diagrams and schematics.
  • Integrate fluids and propulsion with overall system design, software, and operations.
  • Support development and execution of component and subsystem tests.
