Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Fluids and Propulsion Systems Engineer to work within the MK1 Fluids Systems Engineering team. You will apply your fluids, propulsion, and systems engineering expertise to support the Lunar Permanence program and the Blue Moon lander product lines.

You will lead trade studies, drive cross-functional integration, and guide subsystem design through concept to verification and test. U.S. citizenship or eligible status is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a similar technical field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in fluids, propulsion, or aerospace systems.
• Proven ability to lead cross functional teams, drive multi subsystem integration, and lead trade studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with fluid/gas components such as valves, manifolds, regulators, pumps, pressure vessels, instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems with minimal oversight as part of the IPT.
• Lead subsystem trade studies from concept through approval and implementation.
• Tackle Fluids Systems Engineer tasks including design, integration, analysis, and test support.
• Ensure timely updates of subsystem architecture diagrams and schematics.
• Apply systems engineering fundamentals across concept, requirements, design, analysis, validation, and test.
• Integrate fluids and propulsion with overall vehicle design, analysis, software, and operations.
• Support development and execution of component and subsystem tests.
