Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a fluids design engineer to craft gas systems for the Lunar Transfer Stage. You will own the full lifecycle from definition to equipment, verification, and operation in space, ensuring gas distribution and pressurized hardware meet safety and performance standards.

The role requires expertise in fluid dynamics, valves, pumps, heat exchangers, and associated subsystems, with collaboration across suppliers and internal teams. Passion for spaceflight is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Fluids sub-assembly design and development, CAD parts/assemblies, trade studies, and procurement.
• Interpreting and generating P&IDs using AutoCAD.
• Develop and maintain test plans for subsystems and components.
• Develop interfaces between fluid systems and other vehicle subsystems.
• Design and analyze components for fluid, thermal, and structural applications.
• Verify components to company standards.
