Blue Origin is seeking a Fluids Systems Engineer to join the MK1 Fluids Systems Engineering team, contributing deep technical work on complex subsystems with strong leadership skills. You will drive trade studies, design and integration tasks, and system-level analysis across development phases.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a similar technical field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in fluids, propulsion, or aerospace systems.
• Proven ability to lead cross functional teams, drive multi subsystem integration, and leading trade studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Established expertise across the full SE development cycle (concept, requirements, design, analysis, integration, safety, configuration management, verification and test).
• Experience with fluid/gas components i.e., solenoid valves, directional valves, manifolds, accumulators, regulators, pumps, pressure vessels, and instrumentation.
• U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card) or eligible for immigration status as required.

Responsibilities

• Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems with minimal oversight as part of the Fluids and Propulsion Integrated Product Team (IPT).
• Lead subsystem trade studies from early concept through approval and implementation.
• Tackle the broad range of Fluids Systems Engineer tasks like leading trade studies, component design/integration, 1st order analysis, and test support.
• Ensure timely updates and communication of subsystem level architecture diagrams, schematics.
• Understand and apply systems engineering fundamentals across the development cycle of systems including concept development, requirements, design, analysis, validation, integrations, safety, configuration management, verification, and test.
• Integrate between fluids and propulsion subsystem and overall system level vehicle design, analysis, software, and operations.
• Support the development and execution of component and subsystem tests.
