Job summary

Blue Origin, a leader in space exploration, seeks a Fluids Analysis Manager to guide a team of engineers across propulsion and fluid systems for the lunar lander program. You will drive technical analyses, supervise hiring, and advance tools and methods for pre-launch, in-space, and landing phases.

You will apply deep propulsion and thermodynamics knowledge, oversee modeling work, and ensure results meet program needs with clear mentorship and strategic direction.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical, or Physics preferred).
• 5+ years aerospace industry or related field experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to developing engineering talent, including coaching and mentoring.
• Deep technical fundamentals in propulsion, fluids, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and/or combustion.
• Experience modeling fluids and propulsion components including solenoid valves, directional valves, manifolds, regulators, pumps, engines, thrusters, feedlines, pressure vessels, and instrumentation.
• Experience performing 1D modeling and/or CFD of compressible and incompressible flow using hand calculations or fluid network analysis tools (e.g. Thermal Desktop, Fluent, GFSSP, FloCAD, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for vehicle analysis, hardware design, and operations across fluids and propulsion.
• Define, scope, and schedule required analyses to support program execution.
• Ensure analysis fidelity is appropriate for each development phase.
• Perform thermal-fluid calculations for fluid systems using hand calculations, scripts, network solvers, and CFD models.
• Lead and mentor the analytics team; influence hiring, performance, and technical career development.
