Responsibilities include soliciting orders, presenting products, handling inquiries on price and terms, preparing reports, and managing deliveries or installations to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or equivalent; degree in industrial distribution or engineering preferred.
• Experience: Three years hydraulic experience or equivalent.
• Certificates & Licenses: Certified Fluid Power Specialist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contacts current and prospective customers to solicit business orders.
• Recommends products to customers, based upon customer’s needs and interests.
• Answers questions about products, prices, and quality, durability, and credit terms.
• Meets with customers to demonstrate and explain features and benefits of products and services.
• Prepares lists of prospective customers, call reports, and other reports as required.
• Reviews sales records and current market information to determine value or sales potential of product.
• Completes sales contracts or forms to record sales information.
• Instructs customers on use of products.
• Investigates and resolves customer complaints.
• Prepares drawings, estimates, and bids to meet specific needs to customers.
• Obtains credit information on prospective customers.
• Oversees delivery or installation of products to equipment.
• Achieves high understanding of products, learn about new products.
