Job summary

The GIANT Company in West Reading, PA is seeking a Floral Department team member to enter orders, schedule work, supervise staff, receive, store and stock items, and maintain accuracy and freshness in the floral department.

You'll train teammates, ensure safety, meet KPI targets, assist customers, and keep the floral cooler organized while contributing to a positive shopping experience for our communities.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate in order to complete job duties and follow company policies.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift and prepare equipment and supplies.
• Direct the day's activities to be completed by the team members scheduled that day.
• Achieve all KPI's for the floral department.
• Use a U-boat to retrieve inventory from receiving and stock the floral cooler.
• Make arrangements, help customers, wrap flowers and plants, and inflate balloons as required.
• Keep the department and cooler clean and track loss.
