Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Floor Lead to inspire customers and support the General Manager in achieving sales goals while directing daily store operations as a Manager on Duty (MOD).

The role reports to a GM or Store Manager and requires 1 year of retail sales and supervisory experience, proficiency with POS systems, and basic MS Office skills. The position offers an hourly wage and employee discounts, plus eligibility for benefits after a probationary period.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail sales and customer service experience.
• 1 year of retail supervisory experience, preferred.
• Proficient in POS Systems.
• Some experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel).
• May require Food Handlers Certification.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to an environment where employees are informed and capable by supporting training for all employees.
• Model and hold employees accountable to customer service standards.
• Model and ensure all policies and SOPs are communicated effectively to employees, maintained and followed.
• Provide coaching in the moment and feedback to employees and communicate issues to management.
• Support sales driving initiatives and create daily agendas.
• Direct employees to ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels and presentations, and maintain floor stock per visual standards.
• Maintain product knowledge and pursue available training resources.
• Ensure timekeeping practices are in place and followed per policy.
• Complete inventory transactions including receiving, MOS, and RARs, and ring employee transactions.
