Qualifications

• 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in a specialty or culinary retail environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and retain a high performing team.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Provide in‑the‑moment coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement.
• Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates.
• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable, educational experiences for customers.
• Ensure exceptional customer experience by leading a guest‑obsessed culture and addressing concerns promptly.
• Support achievement of store sales goals and identify opportunities to maximize selling.
• Direct employees to maintain stock levels and merchandised displays per SOPs.
• Complete inventory transactions and adhere to wage/hour policies.
• Maintain knowledge of products and training resources to continuously improve service.
