Job summary

Le Pain Quotidien, part of Convive Brands, is hiring Assistant General Managers to lead daily operations and elevate guest experience. This hands‑on leadership role partners with the General Manager to drive service excellence, coach leaders, and balance hospitality with financial results.

We seek an experienced restaurant leader with a passion for hospitality, a track record of building strong cultures, and readiness for future GM opportunities. NYC license and multilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience in a full‑service setting.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• NYC Food Handlers License is required to be considered for this position.
• Proficiency in Spanish, French, and/or Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor during service, coaching in the moment and ensuring guests receive exceptional hospitality.
• Own the guest experience, resolve concerns with empathy and urgency, and drive loyalty.
• Develop people and culture, creating an environment where team members feel valued and motivated.
• Partner with the GM to recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and develop high‑performing staff.
• Lead and coach teams through opening, service, and closing with strong shift communication.
• Own labor deployment during service, balancing guest experience with productivity and cost.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, and food safety.
