Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Float Teller to support branch customers through digital engagement, lobby management, and retail servicing interactions. You will travel between branches within a designated area to assist staff and process transactions accurately.

You will balance cash, log customer issues, identify self-service opportunities, and promote banking services while maintaining compliance with policy and risk controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 6 months of customer service or cash handling experience.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills with proven customer service ability.
• Proficiency with internet-based systems and data entry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to customer service standards and deliver solutions in the branch experience.
• Balance and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Engage in lobby management and greet customers, addressing needs or escalating as needed.
• Complete branch operational activities (cash handling, vault, wire transfers) and maintain logs.
• Perform AML/KYC-related activities and uphold risk and regulatory controls.
• Identify self-service opportunities and transition sales leads to banking partners.
