Top Dog Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role covering Montgomery County, MD. The position is a float, with 1st shift hours Mon-Fri and potential for permanent placement. The assignment lasts about 3 months with benefits available.

The phlebotomist will perform blood draws, labeling, centrifugation, data recording, and specimen handling per established procedures while adhering to OSHA regulations. Valid state phlebotomy certification and minimum experience are required.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Decontamination and updating patient information as required.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match lab requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to protocol.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
