Job summary

InTown Suites is seeking a Floating General Manager to oversee operations across assigned properties when short-staffed. The role requires acting as General Manager in their absence and occasional market-wide assignments for staff training, local marketing, and QA improvements.

You will recruit, train, and support property staff, drive local sales, ensure guest satisfaction, and monitor safety and maintenance issues. Travel 90% to other properties within the market is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in management.
• Supervisory experience required.
• General computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operates properties in the absence of a General Manager as needed.
• Develop expertise on computer operating system.
• Assist in recruitment of General Managers and other property staff.
• Train, develop and support property staff.
• Drive sales through local marketing and sales calls as directed by Regional Operations Manager.
• Provide excellent guest service and handle guest concerns.
• Identify and manage repair and maintenance issues.
• Notify Regional Operations Manager of safety, security or policy violations.
• Monitor competitors in markets as directed by Regional Operations Manager.
• Support budgeting and cost/inventory controls to improve financial performance.
• Travel and/or overnight stays will be required.
