Job summary

Bronson Healthcare is seeking a Float Medical Assistant for Kalamazoo, Portage, and Battle Creek coverage. The role involves performing general nursing functions, taking vital signs, patient histories, and assisting providers.

Travel to multiple locations is required, with training on ultrasound-guided injections and related procedures. Eligible candidates may be CMA/CCMA/RMA certified or obtain CMA/RMA within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• CMA/CCMA/RMA certification or eligibility to obtain CMA/RMA within 6 months
• EMR experience desirable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Good problem-solving and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, initial patient assessment, and document in chart
• Prepare patients for examinations and routine testing
• Administer treatments as ordered by physician and assist with procedures
• Obtain specimens and perform basic phlebotomy as directed
• Schedule outside tests or procedures and coordinate referrals
• Maintain inventory and stock exam rooms; assist in scheduling in EMR
