Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team as a Float Medical Assistant. This role travels to multiple locations within the state and/or region to support primary care delivery and ensure an exceptional guest experience for patients.

The position requires flexibility to cover shifts on short notice and to adapt to different work settings. Travel within the state/region is essential, with the goal of delivering consistent patient care across sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform venipuncture, administer injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, record requests and abstraction, referrals and coordination of care outside the clinic.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients via e-message, mail or phone as instructed.
• Participate in patient outreach to drive engagement among eligible patient groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
