Job summary

Marathon Health seeks a Float Medical Assistant to join our care team. This role requires versatility, traveling to multiple locations within the state and region, and covering shifts as needed. You will support the physician, perform clinical tasks, and provide an excellent guest experience to patients.

The position emphasizes flexibility, cross-location collaboration, and maintaining continuity of care while delivering high-quality patient service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (Primary Care preferred).
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred. Certification/registration required where mandated.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure rooms are stocked and ready.
• Take vitals, assist with procedures, and work with contracted labs for tests.
• Administer medications and immunizations as ordered by Provider.
• Front desk duties including scheduling, chart requests, and referrals.
• Document data accurately in the medical record and communicate results to patients.
• Support care team to develop individual patient care plans.
