Job summary

Marathon Health Inc is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a Floating role across multiple locations within the state and/or region. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and a superior guest experience, while covering shifts as needed.

Responsibilities include bedside care, front desk duties, vitals, injections, phlebotomy and assisting with procedures, with travel as required. Strong MA program and CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; required where mandated by state.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are ready and stocked.
• Review medical information and gather updated health information for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections; assist with procedures and coordinate with labs.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by Providers.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, and referrals; documentation in medical records.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients as instructed.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain clinic supplies and equipment.
