Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Floating) to support multiple Houston-area properties. The role involves diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, completing work orders, and ensuring safety standards across building grounds, amenities, and common areas.

Responsibilities include make-ready tasks for vacant units, inventory management, and timely documentation of all service requests.

Qualifications

• Performs preventive maintenance on buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas.
• Diagnoses defects and repairs per policies, procedures, and code requirements.
• Keeps inventory of parts and tools, tracks usage and re-orders as needed.
• Follows safety meetings and OSHA-related training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative tasks.
• Prepare vacant homes for leasing and move-ins with make-ready processes.
• Access materials and tools from maintenance department and manage supplies.
• Document service requests accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas; assist in painting and cleaning as needed.
• Support cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
