Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical work ensuring the community meets Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will handle resident work orders, prepare units for leasing, inspect quality, and assist in budgeting while maintaining inventory and following safety policies. A focus on customer service and problem solving is essential to success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law; use tools safely.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to identify and fix problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interacting with residents and team.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for internal/external use.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets; PMS experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills for basic arithmetic and document math.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders from residents and perform repairs per policy and safety rules.
• Manage make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by staff and contractors to ensure quality.
• Maintain inventory of parts and seek supplies within budget.
• Carry out monthly preventative maintenance per policy manual.
• Assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when possible.
