Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Float Teller to enhance branch customer experience through digital engagement, lobby management and accurate transaction processing. The role involves traveling to different branches within a designated area to support staff as needed.

You will balance cash, perform AML/KYC related tasks, and help transition sales opportunities to banking partners while upholding risk and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months customer service experience including data entry and cash handling.
• Willingness to travel between branches as needed.
• Bilingual ability may be required based on branch needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve routine problems.
• Educate customers with shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations and identify self-service opportunities.
• Greet customers and actively address immediate needs in the lobby.
• Balance and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Log and escalate account issues; follow up on complaints per policy.
• Introduce customers to appropriate banking partners for referrals.
• Handle branch operations such as cash ordering, vault, ATM and wires.
• Maintain customer accounts and perform AML/KYC related tasks.
