Job summary

UCI Health seeks a clinically skilled, adaptable registered nurse to join the Enterprise Float Pool. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans, ensuring coordination across disciplines and support staff to optimize outcomes.

The role requires a BSN, at least 2 years in acute care, and the ability to float between UCI Health - Orange and UCI Health - Irvine campuses. English proficiency and flexible shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required for external candidates.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to float between Orange and Irvine campuses.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for a specific group of assigned patients.
• Coordinate care between other disciplines and support staff.
• Evaluate patient outcomes, effectiveness of plan of care, and readiness for discharge; revise plans or make referrals as needed.
• Act as a role model and mentor to students and nurses new to the unit; function as a PCC on request by supervisor.
