Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the Enterprise Float Pool. You will support nursing staff by taking vitals, assisting with patient hygiene, and maintaining a clean, safe unit across the Orange and Irvine campuses.

This role requires flexibility for variable shifts and familiarity with medical terminology. A CNA/LVN or nursing program enrollment with clinical experience and a current BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse or nursing program enrollment with at least 1 clinical semester.
• Current BLS certification (AHA) upon hire.
• Ability to float between Orange and Irvine campuses.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment.
• Stock unit supplies and operate hospital equipment as directed.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and assist with other related duties.
