Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a clinical nurse to join the Enterprise Float Pool, partnering with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for a defined group of patients. You will ensure coordinated care across units and advocate for patients throughout their stay.

Responsibilities include evaluating outcomes, adjusting plans, and mentoring students and new nurses as a role model and Patient Care Coordinator upon request.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to float between Orange and Irvine campuses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a plan of care for assigned patients and coordinate care across disciplines.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and readiness for discharge; revise plans or make referrals as needed.
