Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a registered nurse to join the Enterprise Float Pool. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement plans of care for assigned patients, coordinate care, and ensure readiness for discharge.

The role requires a BSN, a minimum of 2 years in an acute care hospital, and flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. You will float between Orange and Irvine campuses and mentor students and new nurses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to float between Orange and Irvine campuses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a plan of care for assigned patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and readiness for discharge; revise plan as needed.
• Mentor students and nurses new to the unit.
