Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the Enterprise Float Pool. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans for a defined group of patients, coordinating care across units and staff.

The role requires clinical proficiency to assess, plan, intervene and advocate throughout the patient’s stay. Applicants must have a BSN, at least 2 years of acute care experience, and be able to work variable shifts including evenings,

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience.
Willingness to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
Willingness to float between Orange and Irvine campuses.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Coordinate care between disciplines and support staff throughout the continuum of care.
Evaluate patient outcomes and plan adjustments; advocate for patients.
Mentor students and new nurses on the unit.
