Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a clinical nurse to join the Enterprise Float Pool. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement plans of care for assigned patients, coordinating care and advocating for patients throughout the continuum.

Functions include evaluating outcomes and serving as a mentor to students and new nurses, acting as a PCC as needed. The role requires a BSN, minimum 2 years of acute care experience, and flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to float between Orange and Irvine campuses.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and plan of care.
• Assess, intervene and advocate for the patient across the continuum of care.
• Act as a role model and mentor to students and new nurses; function as PCC (Patient Care Coordinator).
