Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Enterprise Float Pool to support patient care. You will take and record vital signs, assist with hygiene and elimination, and maintain a clean and safe unit.

As part of the float pool, you may rotate between Orange and Irvine campuses, work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and assist with stocking, equipment operation, and routine clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must read, write and speak English effectively.
• Must be certified Nursing Assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse or enrolled in nursing program with at least 1 clinical semester.
• Current BLS certification upon hire (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment.
• Stock unit supplies and operate hospital equipment as directed.
• Perform routine clerical tasks.
• Assist with other related duties as assigned.
