Solis Mammography is seeking a Float Mammography Technologist to support Houston area centers. This full-time role requires precise mammography techniques, patient communication, and collaboration with onsite radiologists.

Qualifications

• Mammography technologist license required by Texas Medical Board.
• ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility with clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved Radiologic Technology program.
• MQSA/FDA continuing education: 15 CEU every 3 years and 200 cases every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures with high accuracy in positioning and exposure.
• Provide patient education on the role of regular mammography in breast health.
• Coordinate with radiologists and staff to ensure efficient workflow.

Work Location: Float Coverage for Houston Area Centers

Work Hours: (Full-Time) Monday-Friday between 6:30am-5:00pm, depending on business needs. (Occasional Saturdays Required)

The Float Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here is what you will need:

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Float Mammography Technologist:

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
  • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
  • Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
