Job summary

Solis Mammography is seeking a Mammography Technologist for our Plano, TX location. The role requires high-precision positioning, quality imaging, and patient-focused care. Full-time with potential Saturday shifts.

Applicants must hold an active Texas Medical Board license and ARRT Mammography, plus completed radiologic technology education. Relocation and sign-on bonus opportunities may apply for qualified technologists.

Qualifications

• License required: Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible (documentation).
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Continuing education: MQSA/FDA 15 CEU every 3 years; 200 documented cases every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures with accurate positioning and technique.
• Explain procedures and educate patients on breast health and screening importance.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff and patients.
• Maintain patient-first focus and exceptional customer service.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Work Location:

3801 W 15th St, Building B, Suite 150A Plano, TX 75075

Work Hours:

Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. (1-2 Saturday shifts per month required)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here is what you will need:

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist:

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
• Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
• Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
• Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
