Job summary

Solis Mammography is seeking a Mammography Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and perform diagnostic mammography with a strong focus on precise positioning and exposure technique. This full-time role covers work at the Tomball and Houston areas, with services provided at multiple centers.

Ideal candidates hold Texas Medical Board license and ARRT Mammography certification, plus completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB.
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide services and support for mammography procedures with high accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
• Explain procedures to patients and educate about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, patients, and staff; maintain patient-first focus and outstanding customer service.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Work Location: 20326 Tomball Pkwy, Suite 225 Houston, TX 77070. Provides coverage at Vintage Park and Tomball centers.

Work Hours: (Full-Time)7:00am- 4:30pm, including occasional Saturdays.

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist:

• Provide services and support for the following areas:

  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
