Job summary

Solis Mammography in the Dallas/Fort Worth area is seeking a Float Mammography Technologist to support multiple centers on a PRN basis. Varied hours from 6:15am to 5:00pm, averaging 2–4 days per week.

You will perform mammography with precision, communicate clearly with patients, and maintain the Solis Way. Required licenses and credentials include a Texas Medical Board License, ARRT Mammography, and completing an approved two-year Radiologic Technology program.

Qualifications

  • Texas Medical Board License (TMB)
  • Current ARRT Mammography certification or eligible for advanced exam with clinical experience
  • Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • CEU requirements: MQSA/FDA - 15 CEU every 3 years; 200 documented cases every 2 years
  • Experience with ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide services across Solis centers listed for Dallas/Fort Worth.
  • Demonstrate and promote the Solis Way in patient care.
  • Maintain excellence in mammography positioning and exposure technique.
  • Communicate procedures clearly to patients and educate on the importance of regular mammography.
  • Communicate effectively with doctors, patients and staff.
  • Follow detailed instructions with accuracy and patient-first focus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Float Mammography Technologist PRN

Work Location: Float Coverage for Dallas/Fort Worth Solis Centers

Work Hours: PRN - Varied Hours between 6:15am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. Averages 2-4 days per week.

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here is what you will need:
  • Texas Medical Board License - TMB
  • Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
  • Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
  • Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.
A Day in the Life of a Float Mammography Technologist:
  • Provide services and support for the following areas:
    • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
    • Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
    • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
    • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
    • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
    • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
