Job summary

Solis Mammography in Houston is seeking a Float Mammography Technologist to support multiple market centers. The role requires accurate positioning and exposure techniques as part of a patient-centered breast imaging team.

Responsibilities include operating mammography equipment, performing diagnostic procedures, and maintaining MQSA compliance. Candidates must hold a Texas Medical Board license (TMB) and ARRT Mammography certification, with two-year radiologic technology training.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas Medical Board License (TMB).
• Current ARRT Mammography certification or eligible for advanced level exam with documented clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200 documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

Work Location:

Floats between all Houston market centers

Work Hours:

(Full-Time) Monday-Friday 6:30am-5:00pm, depending on center hours. (Occasional Saturdays Required)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

A Day in the Life of a Float Mammography Technologist

• Provide services and support for the following areas:

  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
