Job summary

Solis Mammography is seeking a Float Mammography Technologist to support multiple Houston market centers. The role requires strong positioning skills, patient communication, and adherence to high-quality imaging standards.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License (TMB) is required.
• ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility with clinical experience.
• Two-year accredited School of Radiologic Technology completion.
• MQSA/FDA: 15 CEUs every 3 years and 200 documented cases every 2 years.
• Experience with ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mammography services and support across Houston market centers.
• Maintain high accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients and educate about breast health.
• Collaborate with doctors, staff, and patients to ensure quality care.

Job Description

Float Mammography Technologist

Relocation Assistance Eligible for Qualified Technologists

Work Location: Floats between all Houston market centers

Work Hours: (Full-Time) Monday-Friday 6:30am-5:00pm, depending on center hours. (Occasional Saturdays Required)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here is what you will need:

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Float Mammography Technologist:

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
• Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
• Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
• Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

*Sign-On Bonus is applicable to current qualified Mammography Technologists (ARRT (M)). Amount offered may vary in an amount of up to $7,500 depending upon experience level and qualifications.
