Job summary

Solis Mammography is seeking a Float Mammography Technologist for PRN coverage across Dallas/Fort Worth centers. The role requires valid Texas Medical Board license, ARRT Mammography certification (or eligible), and completion of a two-year radiologic technology program.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB.
• Current ARRT Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment and perform mammography-related diagnostic procedures with high accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
• Provide services and support for patient education about the role of mammography in breast health and overall care.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, patients, and other staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain a patient-first focus and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Work Location:

Float Coverage for Dallas/Fort Worth Solis Centers

Work Hours:

PRN - Varied Hours between 6:15am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. Averages 2-4 days per week.

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

A Day in the Life of a Float Mammography Technologist:

  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;

  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
