Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Flight Paramedic to transport patients to and from facilities and assist on scene calls. You will perform pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support, participate in mission briefings, and ensure accurate documentation and safety procedures for every flight.

The role requires a minimum of three years in a911 or critical care, EMT-P licensure for the region, and FP-C within 24 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a911 or critical care setting required.
• EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the receiving facility.
• Maintain competency through ongoing labs and clinical experiences.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures documentation.
• Operate and maintain emergency equipment and supplies used by the program.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Serve as a medical flight team member and attend pre/missions/debriefings.
