Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic to join our helicopter air ambulance team. The role involves completing electronic patient care records for each flight, performing base checks, and delivering advanced life support from scene to hospital handoff.

You will maintain required licensure and certifications and participate in pre-mission briefings and safety protocols. Qualified candidates have a minimum of three years in 911/critical care, EMT-P license, and FP-C within 24 months;

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting required.
• Maintain licensure and certifications including ongoing CE and safety documentation.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact until handoff.
• Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
• Maintain documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
• Be knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by the program.
• Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Contribute as a medical flight team member and participate in pre-mission briefings and debriefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and pilot assistance as needed.
• Comply with safety standards to ensure safety of all personnel and equipment.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• FIll open/vacant shifts within assigned area per Regional Director.
