Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic to transport patients by air and perform scene call work. You will deliver advanced life support from first contact through facility handoff and maintain detailed patient records and safety standards.

Requirements include EMT-P license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP and trauma certs before flight; FP-C within 24 months; instructor certs preferred; 3+ years of critical care/911 experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in 911 or critical care required.
• Current EMT-P license in states served by area.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, trauma certs required before flight.
• FP-C certification due within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for dispatched flights on time.
• Perform daily base checks including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care and document thoroughly.
• Maintain competencies through ongoing labs and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, CEU, safety, and advanced procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment used by emergency programs.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals and public.
• Serve as a medical flight team member and participate in briefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance as needed.
• Comply with safety standards to protect crew, patients, and equipment.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as required.
• Fill open shifts within assigned area as directed by Regional Director.
