Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic to join our team of air transportation experts. You will provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support from initial contact through transfer, and ensure thorough documentation for each dispatched flight.

You will participate in ongoing training and maintain licensure and safety standards while collaborating with EMS partners and hospitals. The position requires an EMT-P license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, and FP-C within 24 months of hire,

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a911 or critical care setting.
• EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for completion and submission of electronic patient care record for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient transfer.
• Maintain competency through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Maintain documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures.
• Knowledgeable in use and maintenance of equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
• Function as a medical flight member and participate in pre-mission and debriefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and Pilot assistance when needed (radio, navigational, observation).
• Comply with safety standards for liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open or vacant shifts within assigned area as directed by the Regional Director.
