Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Flight Paramedic to transport patients and perform scene calls, working within a dedicated air-transport team. You will ensure safe patient care from initial contact through handoff, maintain radios and flight equipment, and participate in mission briefings and safety checks.

This role demands current EMT-P credentials, valid licensure, and ongoing training. Experience in a 911 or critical care setting is required, with FP-C and instructor certifications considered

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a911 or critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within required time.
• Perform daily base checks including narcotics count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from first contact to handoff at receiving facility.
• Maintain competency through ongoing labs and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, CE, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and supply checks used by the program.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Operate as a medical flight team member and participate in pre/post mission briefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checks and pilot assistance as needed including radio, navigation, and visual observation.
• Adhere to safety standards for crew, patients, and equipment prior to liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings when required.
• Fill open shifts within assigned area as directed by Regional Director.
