Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic to transport patients and support scene calls. You will deliver advanced life support and maintain meticulous documentation, while upholding safety standards for crew and patients.

You’ll participate in pre-mission briefings, liftoff checklists, and ongoing competency maintenance. The role requires EMT-Paramedic licensure, multiple certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP), and FP-C within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in 911 or critical care.
• Current EMT-Paramedic license in states served.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma cert required prior to flight.
• FP-C certification required within 24 months of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS-PEPP/ITLS-PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care record for each dispatched flight within the time frame.
• Daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from first contact to handoff, with thorough documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Keep licensure, certifications, CE, safety records up to date as per policy.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Function as a medical flight team member.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings; complete required docs.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checks and pilot support as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards for crew, patients, and equipment.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open shifts within assigned area as directed by Regional Director.
