Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic to deliver pre-hospital and interfacility ALS care from initial contact to handoff, while ensuring meticulous documentation and adherence to safety standards.

The candidate should have a minimum of three years in 911 or critical care, hold EMT-P certification in the service states, and obtain FP-C within 24 months. Strong teamwork and readiness for field flight operations are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting required.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotics count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to handoff.
• Maintain competency via ongoing labs and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, CE, safety, and procedures in Education Manual.
• Maintain equipment knowledge and routine maintenance for emergency program use.
• Foster positive relationships with EMS, hospitals and the public.
• Serve as a medical flight team member and participate in pre/post mission debriefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot support as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards to ensure safety of all involved.
